Substantive and/or Developmental Editing for theses and dissertations:
When you need someone to come on board with you, understand what your project is and how you want to go about it. If you have writing difficulties, learning disabilities, or mental blocks that interfere with academic writing, it’s likely you would need both some substantive and some developmental editing.
Most people who want this sort of service also need some coaching and counseling services as part of what we do together.

Consultation

A consultation will help you understand where and how you are stuck and how to move forward from that place. These are typically individually scheduled sessions, not more than 4 hours in length.
When all you need is one set time with someone who can hear, understand, and offer concrete, specific assistance for a single issue, or a couple of related ones. You might or might not need other sessions.

-
Provides a sounding board, with feedback when needed
-
Solves a specific issue, or perhaps 2 or 3 related ones in a single session
-
